Text behind?

Hello again, I am here to share a card for Stampotique,Designers Challenge
We have a new challenge and the theme is Text Background
Use a book, stamp, journal, dictionary, newspaper, letter or anything with text. Let's see text in your backgrounds this week.
I just love this little guy Schmurfy and he is up to Shenanigans which is on  France's Barcode Text2  and behind them is Romantic Text also by France Papillon. The stamp was inked very selectively to give a muted appearance. I used a mask for the circles, soft inking with distress ink!! Now, why not join us? You can use any stamps except digital and there is the chance that you could win a $30 voucher for stamps :D
Thank you for stopping by :D Hugs Gay xx

Darnell's visit

Hello my lovely bloggy friends, Just thought I would share a few memories of my days meeting with Darnell,  her lovely blog is djkardkreations
We have been bloggy friends since January 2012, and sharing the fun ever since!!! :D
I made my way to London on the train and underground to Darnell's hotel arriving about lunch time, well you can guess our first port of call was lunch a very quick  but tasty roll on Victoria station LOL not the most salubrious destination but a filling snack none the less. We had decided that the way to get an overall flavour of London ( with only 2 days) would be on an open topped bus, so off we trotted and jumped on the bus. The weather on her trip so far had been anything but British and really rather sunny, lucky lady BUT this is London for goodness sake, yes! You guessed it, it started to drizzle

I think Darnell wears her brolly really well, it was a little chilly and blowing a gale too Brrrr!  But just look at that smile, what a sunny lady :D We stayed on the bus for most of the afternoon, checking out the sights and deciding what to see the next day. On for a fish and chip supper at the pub, that was delicious. I left her at the hotel and made my way home, tired but happy!!
Next day I was back up on the train and we went off to Oxford Street for a little essential shopping and lunch in an ASK restaurant, Yummy Italian food!!! Then back to the hotel to catch our breath and out again this time to visit Buckingham Palace and St James' park
drier by now we wandered off to see the ducks around the pond and off to Trafalgar Square to check out the fountains. We finished it all off in the evening with a trip to the theatre and a show 'Wicked' how lucky were we?????
Fabulous time and a fabulous lady, thank you Darnell I loved it all :D xxx
p.s When are you coming back??? :D x
